Marcus, also known as CusCampbell, is a multifaceted artist, performer, trombonist, and content creator hailing from Boston, Massachusetts. His journey into music began at the age of 10 when he picked up the trombone, initially because none of his friends were interested in playing it. However, what started as happenstance quickly turned into a passion as Marcus found himself excelling, particularly noted for his standout solos at school band concerts.

At 14, Marcus made a pivotal decision to forego a potential basketball career and instead joined his school's top jazz ensemble. This decision proved fruitful as he continued to distinguish himself at numerous jazz festivals, catching the attention of audiences and peers alike. Further honing his craft, Marcus sought lessons from renowned trombonist Wycliffe Gordon, a move that undoubtedly contributed to his musical growth. Marcus's talent and dedication earned him a spot in the prestigious Massachusetts All-State Jazz Band and a performance slot at the esteemed Newport Jazz Festival in 2014. His contributions to his high school's music program were recognized with the Louis Armstrong Award, a testament to his excellence and commitment to music.

His journey continued at Berklee College of Music, where he studied under the guidance of esteemed mentors such as Marshall Gilkes, Tia Fuller, Victor Wooten, and Terrance Blanchard. During his time at Berklee, Marcus began exploring online content creation, gaining traction with his covers of hip-hop songs and garnering praise from notable artists like Snoop Dogg, Big Sean, Masego, Russ, and Joyner Lucas.

In 2021, Marcus's visibility surged when he was featured in a TikTok campaign by Disney to promote the movie Soul alongside Grammy Award-winning artist Jon Batiste. The following year, he made headlines performing at notable events such as the Boston Blooms Block Party and providing stirring renditions of the National Anthem at high-profile sporting events like the WNBA Semi Finals and the Basketball Hall of Fame Championship games.

Taking his talent on the road, Marcus embarked on his first tour as a supporting act for Demola The Violinist's "One in a Million" World Tour in 2023, captivating audiences across several cities with his electrifying performances.
